Musical Postcards from Argentina

“Join the Embassy of Argentina and Pan American Symphony Orchestra for a special online concert to celebrate the end of Protected content
“Musical Postcards from Argentina features music based on folkloric dances and tango by four Argentine composers - Astor Piazzolla, the master of nuevo tango, Raul Garello, who just passed away a couple of years ago, and two living composers, Ariel Pirotti and Gerardo Di Giusto. The orchestra will start the performance with Piazzolla's Estaciones Porteñas (The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires) followed by Garello's Arlequin Porteño, a Fantasy for violin and orchestra that shows off Diana Le Grand's virtuosic violin playing. La Cambiada, a jazzy piece by Di Giusto, a composer and pianist who lives in Paris, was written for piano and strings and is based on the rhythms of and candombe. This concert brings you a special treat - the world premiere of Ariel Pirotti's Inesita, a zamba fororchestra. With Ahmed Alom, a young talented pianist from Cuba, Dorotea Racz on cello, Eric D'Alessandro on viola, PASO ends Protected content a delightful journey through Argentina”
