DC Urban Hiking Series no. 6: Central Section of Rock Creek Park
Lets discover the rocky central sections of Rock Creek Park.
- Hike south on the green blazed Western Ridge Trail and visit Pulpit Rock, then north on the blue blazed Valley Trail including crossing Boulder Bridge
(see pictures)
- easy loop on dirt trail
- 4.5 miles
- about 1,000 feet of elevation change
- Meet at the Nature Center parking lot which is at Protected content Road NW, near the intersection of Military Road NW and Glover Road NW at 10am, see pin on map!
- Wear some kind of hiking shoes that have some grip and bring water and snacks
