Let’s Walk and Chat! Sunday Helsinki City Coastline Walk
This tour is organized by Thomas Reichler, a coming up Helsinki tour guide and a good friend of mine.
Our walk will take us from Kauppahalli via the German Church to the top of Observatory Hill Park (Tähtitorninvuori). From there, we will continue through Kaivopuisto to Cafe Ursula, and then little by little along the coastline towards Cafe Carusel. We will walk through a few parks, through the Kaivopuisto embassy area, and then along the coastline passing the small islands Särkkä, Harakansaari, Uunisaari, Liuskasaari, and Sirpalesaari. Our final destination will be Cafe Carusel, where we can sit down and have some refreshments, depending on the weather either outdoors or inside. The walk will be easy and rather short, less than 3km long.
