Tour in a New Hotel, an Architectural Icon
In May Protected content welcomed the first Protected content in Finland and the second hotel of Minor Hotels in the Nordics. The new Protected content will combine two of the city’s most iconic and recognisable buildings, the Kaleva building and the New Student House, as well as a more recently constructed extension.
Constructed in Protected content , the New Student House bears the architectural imprint of both Armas Lindgren and Wivi Lönn, the pioneering female architect of our era. The Kaleva building, also designed by Armas Lindgren and completed in Protected content , is one of Helsinki’s best-preserved heritage properties and considered as the most successful of Lindgren’s works.
As the oldest continually operating hotel in Helsinki, Hotel Seurahuone forged a path of innovation in hospitality, culture, and societal engagement for decades.
Its relocation to the Kaleva building in Protected content a pivotal moment, heralding an era of modern amenities and unparalleled guest experiences.
Protected content follows in the footsteps of its predecessors who once shaped Helsinki’s central landscape and stands ready to provide a setting for unforgettable moments, both now and in the future. At NH Collection Helsinki Grand Hansa you can still feel the touch of history, now fused with modern hospitality, and superior amenities.
Willem Hagedoorn, Deputy Hotel Director and InterNations member, will be so kind to show us around in this icon.
