Night of the Arts - Basso
Senate Square witnesses the greatest gathering of bass voices of all time! BASSO is Lauri Porra’s new composition, performed by over one hundred bass voices during Night of the Arts.
Composer and bass virtuoso Lauri Porra brings the finest low-voice artists of the country together: there will be a choir of bass singers, a line of low-frequency wind instruments and a rhythm legion of electric bass players and percussionists. In addition to Porra himself, Awake Percussion, YL Male Voice Choir, double bass players of the East Helsinki Music Institute IHMO and other masters of the bass frequency step onto the stage. The work’s visual artist is Joonas Tikkanen.
