Hello everybody,

I am a new InterNations Consul of the Munich Horseback Riding Group. The main focus of my activities will be on organizing horse-riding lessons. I am a beginner. The idea is to do it together.
I am taking riding lessons at the riding stable „Reitstall am Langwieder Bach“. The stable is located in the west of Munich (take S3 - direction Maisach, go out at station Lochhausen, then walk 20 min. on foot).

The trial lesson is for beginners (in German language).
Prepayment required ! First paid, first served ! I will close the guest list as soon as I have the payment from 3 persons. The lessons begins at 17:30. The number of participants is limited to 3 persons. There is no refund for cancellations, but you can give your place to another person.

Here’s all you need to know ahead of your riding debut:
What to wear
Firstly, wear trousers that are soft. The less slippery the better, but anything that is comfortable and won’t rub is a good start.
Your footwear is important too. Wear a pair of shoes with a heel of an inch or so, if possible. Lots of everyday ankle boots for both men and women would meet this requirement. If you don’t own a pair of boots, then find a pair of sneakers that aren’t completely flat. This is to prevent your feet slipping through the stirrup irons.
Your instructor will greet you at the stable yard and help you to find a well-fitting hat.
You’ll be introduced to your horse. Don’t worry, it will be a true gentle giant. These horses are picked specifically to look after beginner riders and they will be highly unlikely to do anything unpredictable or unexpected.
The instructor will show you the basics while you’re standing still, such as how to hold the reins. After that, you’ll practice asking the horse to walk, turn and stop gently and effectively. You’ll learn how to use your legs and hands to direct the horse softly at a slow pace. Above all, remember to relax! Trust your horse and your instructor.
Participation is at your own risk.
Let's meet 17:15 at the entrance.
Looking forward to see you there:)

All the best,
