Considered one of the parents of the impressionism, Jacob Abraham Camille Pissarro was born in a family with Jewish Sephardic roots. The motives of his paintings had in many cases, France as a protagonist and his style laid the foundations of a movement to which also contributed other major artists like Monet or Cézanne.
When they are fulfilled Protected content of Camille Pissarro's death, Center Sefarad-Israel, the Embassy of France and the Institut Français join them to organize an activity which remembers his figure and analyze his valuable artistic legacy.
Next November 12, at 19:00 h. his artistic legacy will be analyzed during a conversation with M. Christophe Duvivier, the director of the Museum Camille Pissarro de Pontoise (France) and one of the major experts of the world in the figure of the painter. Together with him, Rut de las Heras, journalist of El País newspaper will conduct the interview and the meeting.
