Touring a Famous Cultural Center
Our next activity will be at the Protected content Saturday, July 27, at 19:00 hrs. SNFCC is a public space, where everyone has free access and can participate in a multitude of cultural, educational, athletic, environmental and recreational activities and events.
The buildings, in their outstanding architectural style, are worth making still photos and/or videos of. The Pharos (Lighthouse) vantage point, with its awesome view, is ideal for taking photos of the surrounding towns and landscapes.
We can visit the Exhibition “Eyewitness” in which photos shot by the late, world-famous, Greek photojournalist Yannis Bechrakis are displayed. (the exhibition was extended till the end of July).
Another spectacular attraction, is the “Dancing Fountains”, particularly during the night.
Access to the Stavros Niarchos Center is easy and is detailed on their website. Car parking is available at €1.50/hr (max. charge €5.00).
Exploring the website of SNFCC thoroughly will provide a wealth of information.
I chose 19:00 hrs for starting, so we can do some night photography too and have a snack and a drink at the “Pharos Café” in a relaxing atmosphere, while enjoying the stunning view. (the Pharos menu is on the S.N,F. website). Meeting point: The info point (see map on website).
