open day of studio and workshop building
The studio and workshop building of the Bayerisches Nationalmuseum * opens its doors for interested visitors for one day.
In the otherwise non-public workspaces, restorers, craftsmen and photographers of the Bavarian National Museum, restorers of the State Archaeological Collection as well as employees and students of the Chair of Restoration, Art Technology and Conservation Science give insights into their work. The wide-ranging program includes, among other things, demonstrations of art-technological investigations, presentations of conservation and restoration techniques, short lectures on current projects, guided tours, short films. Finally, the Chair of Restoration, Art Technology and Conservation Science of the Technical University of Munich will be present and will inform about the training as a restorer.
