Künstlerische Performance: Deutschstunde (in German)
Together with her sister Tugba Önder and the audiovisual support of Anton Kaun, Tunay Önder designs a maniacal festive 'Deutschstunde for the migration society. One hour about words and unwords, from A like Ankerzentrum over D like Dönermorde, P like Passdeutsche up to W like Werteerziehung.
A journey to the strictly controlled and violent limits of power of definition, the right to have a say and knowledge production. For those who are not familiar with the grammar of social structures have a bad hand in this country, or let's say: bad marks.
In a mixture of biting theatrical monologues, live drawings, curious audio examples and lecture performances, DEUTSCHSTUNDE asks the crucial questions: Who determines how people speak in this country? Which language shapes public discourse? And how can - despite all this - postmigrant perspectives inscribe themselves in collective memory?
Idea, concept, text: Tunay Önder, Tuğba Önder; audio, video: Anton Kaun
