Africa Rising International Film Festival - Salvation
Good day all!
As November starts to wind down, I thought I would squeeze in one activity before the month ends.
This is very last minute, so I apologise!
The Africa Rising International Film Festival (ARIFF) is a several days event with the intent of creating awareness and generating interest in African film. This festival uses "cinema to create a revolution that will change the social and economical horizon of Africa, by providing the wherewithal to the abundant talents resident in our communities to rise up and reach for their ideals.
On Saturday afternoon at 12:30 there is a screening of the film "Salvation".
"Salvation" is a film that aims to break the stereotypes about Coloured people.
South African writer and director Carmen Sangion's debut feature film is a multi-narrative drama set in present day Johannesburg. It follows the stories of Ezra, a young man on the run from the law; Roxy, a dejected stripper; and Father Benjamin, a despairing priest, in their search for answers, acceptance and faith.
There is a link for tickets above. If you need assistance getting tickets, do not hesitate to contact me and I will arrange for them.
The event is free, but feel free to bring cash for buying snacks and drinks.
Hope to see you there!
