The art of the Chinese brush : workshop with artist
The Chinese tradition of handling the painting brush is an art form on its own, with many different aspects and interpretations.
Following our first very successful workshop on Chinese calligraphy in February, I am happy to invite you all to a second workshop, this time again with an interesting introduction and demonstration on how the Chinese brush can be used, but with even more focus on Chinese landscape painting as well as a part about Chinese calligraphy.
You will also have more time to put theory into practice and to handle the Chinese brush yourself to make your very own Chinese work of art.
Our teacher Zhang Wenhai studied Chinese painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Shanghai and obtained a Master in 'Arts plastiques, visuels et de l’espace' at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels.
The workshop will be taught in French by Mr Zhang Wenhai but translation into English and Dutch will be available as needed.
All special painting and calligraphy materials will be provided and drinks and snacks will be served throughout the workshop.
No previous experience required.
However, as this workshop will be taught by a professional artist and all special material will be purchased for you in advance, we do ask you to register and cover your participation fee in advance and at the latest by Friday March 15th. You will receive further practical information as soon as you register.
As spaces are limited, your registration is confirmed as soon as your transfer reaches me.. so don't hesitate, sign up and wait for more details by private message..
Thank you for your kind understanding and looking forward to welcome you for this amazing workshop !
