EXTRA workshop: In the footsteps of...van Gogh!!!
DUE TO MANY PEOPLE WHO SHOWED INTEREST IN THIS WORKSHOP. I WILL ORGANISE a 2ND EVENT AFTER THE MORNING CLASS!
The last Art workshop was inspired by Vermeer, let’s keep on exploring the Dutch artists! In this second art class we’re following the footsteps of…Van Gogh.
From his famous sunflowers to the swooping swirls of Starry Night. Van Gogh is fun.
Van Gogh is colourful and famous for it’s hatching techniques – the ones who have followed my letter embellishment course know what I’m talking about!
Today we’re going to experiment with a special technique that will resemble dry point etching. But in a faster easier way.
We’ll be using oil crayons covered with black acrylic paint.
Perhaps you’ll remember this technique from Kindergarten – So it’s time to release that inner child again and get drawing!
Our subject of inspiration will be his artwork starry night, fitting with our technique. No experience needed, but because we are working with oil crayons/acrylics, which can be messy - make sure to wear 'old' clothes or bring an apron.
Let's have some fun!
