ONLINE drawing Class - The power of Lines
THE POWER OF LINES
Welcome all to my virtual classroom,
(before we start: study the hand positions carefully, check photo's!)
------------------------------ Protected content
This evening we'll explore the power of lines:
~~~[A line is defined as a line of points that extends infinitely in two directions. It has one dimension, length. Points that are on the same line are called collinear points. A line is defined by two points and is written as shown below with an arrowhead.]~~~
Sketching lines is the first basic skill you need for learning how to draw. We'll practise some exercises together as an introduction to our next classes.
- The line - basic drawing instrument.
- The line as a drawing technique.
- Different hatching techniques - from left to right: ...
- Concentrated lines of crosshatch.
- Cross contour lines.
- Freehand sketching.
> If possible download (right click mouse on the picture / save as.)the templates I have uploaded, if that's not possible, try to redraw these shapes on a blanc page. It's just a reference. > last 3 photo's: - circles and squares
- Paper (like printingpaper) or a sketchbook.
- Black fineliner or roller(ink)pen
- Pencil, preferably 2B hardness. NO eraser!
Get ready and hope seeing you tomorrow!
