Tonight we’ll explore the Art of the Ballpoint pen: Complexity From Simplicity

As an art medium back in vogue, ballpoint pen has been proven to be a versatile tool with infinite possibilities. Characterized by their low-cost, light and convenient traits, they are particularly handy for sketch work.

Some of the most famous artists of the 20th century have utilized ballpoint pens to some extent during their careers. Andy Warhol and Alberto Giacometti both used ballpoints within their artwork in the Protected content .
Artistic aspirations aside, the average person may pick up a pen during lengthy telephone calls, consciously-or-not scribbling mustaches and glasses onto magazine photos of people.

What do we need?
+ A blue ballpoint pen – Any brand like BIC or even a brandless one will do
+ Piece of kitchen towel / toiletpaper ;-)
+ White paper: printing paper or better: sketchbookpaper with a small grain Protected content

Due to a limited timeframe ZOOM offers Protected content free) we have to start on time, in case we exceed the limit: PLEASE re-connect to the same link!

Up from next week I will give all attendees access to the Artclass presentation. The (interactive) PDF is for you to print at home. And will be filled with tips & tricks to read, learn and use, so you can continue practice at home.
In exchange I will ask a small fee to cover for all my hours of work, to prepare this.

Hope seeing you in my virtual classroom!

Creative regards, Penny
