Hiking Cachoeira do Suru & Morro Voturuna

Come and join us for a nice hike with waterfall, dense forest, climbing, pasture walk,...
Meeting point at 9:30am : Barraca do Pastel, Estrada do Suru, just 2.1 km from the "Estrada do Suru" Exit on SP Protected content Castelo Branco. Expect a 40-minute drive from Largo da Batata in Pinheiros (Google Map and Waze take you to the meeting point without difficulty).
We will park the cars 3.2km ahead, at the beginning of the trail, near Rancho Santa Adélia.
The first 600m of the trail to Cachoeira do Suru are in dense forest, then we will make a steep climb on the right side of the waterfall to its source. Then, we take a quiet walk in the pasture, before the last climb to Morro Voturuna, where we enjoy our picnic and a beautiful view of the surrounding towns and valleys. We will return to the cars along the same trail.

Bring hiking clothes, mainly hiking shoes (with spikes and non-smooth soles), and a light backpack with a raincoat, 2 liters of water and your picnic.
