Passoverdance, established in Protected content , is a non-profit dance organization in Hong Kong dedicated to foster the development of local art through discovering and creating performing arts with a focus on modern dance, The ultimate aim is to incorporate art into everyday life. Positive messages are infiltrated in their works, hence, audiences can be inspired to think and experience the positive power of arts through our dance performances.
The modern dance program is a double-bill, consisting of two dance pieces: Luminescent and Xin Xiang. Luminescent is about the beauty of companionship and describes the acquaintance of a group of young people which develops into a lasting friendship through trust, share, listen and support, willing to give and ready to take from each other. The concept behind Xin Xiang is related to a traditional Chinese image, a ‘Tree’ as symbol of existence and a representation of the philosophy of life : self-realization, resilience and self-contentment. The choreography of this show is inspired by the painting of Wu Guanzhong as well as a Chinese poetry, Ink Plum Blossoms.
