***Due to windy conditions this event is canceled. There will be other kayaking events scheduled in the next Spring season. ***

We had a great time on our last event somwe are going tontry again for those that could not attend. Do not worry! If you do not know how...I will teach you....it is easy.

Come spend some time on the water in the heart of the Palo Pinto Mountains. This is a kayaking event located at Lake Palo Pinto. The lake is a beautiful to kayak with pretty coves and spectacular views. For those that love scenic beauty and geology this event will definitely be for you as there are may different rock formations and cuestra shaped mountains. This lake is however quite far for those in the Dallas area (2 hours max) but even the drive from Interstate 20 is well worth the trip. There are many wildlife here as well. If you are lucky, on the way in or out you may see deer, turkeys, roadrunners, hogs, and many birds. The event location has a restaurant, bar, restrooms, and a good boat ramp to make launching easier. This can be a dawn to dusk event so stay as long as you like.

I have purchased 8 kayaks Protected content max) to borrow. If you do have a kayak and can bring it I encourage you because it will help other who can not. If you can bring an extra please do and let me know so that I can add the extra kayak to the borrow list.

+++For those who do not have a kayak and do not want to buy one please make a comment that you need to borrow as soon as you accept the event.+++ I will let you know if there are any available and if not put you on a waiting list. Keep in mind that this can be an all day event and most people can not kayak all day so there are opportunities to share the borrowed kayaks.

For those that would like to buy a kayak, I suggest an inflatable so you can transport easier plus less expense. Keep in mind, if this is a popular event, we will do this often in the future. Here is a suggestion but look around to find the best for you. Protected content

For those who are on the borrow list, if you need to cancel please let me know so I can assign the kayak to another person. For anyone who is bringing an extra kayak that needs to cancel, let me know right away so I can inform the person on the borrow list.

In the event of bad weather this event will be cancelled because I am leaving for work until the middle of November. If not using GPS call for directions. It is super easy. Some cell service may not work well due to coverage and the mountains so I suggest to put the directions on paper as well.

If there are many attending I will let someone use my kayak (it is the Mercedes Benz of kayaks) and I will use my paddle boat to play with (there is an extra seat for someone that wants to ride along) so let us have some fun before the water and weather gets too cold!
