Let's Celebrate InterNations Birthday Internationally!
September is the month for celebration at InterNations. So let's mark the 10th Anniversary with some delicious food - Israeli with some mixture of Ukrainian and Russian influences. Tcheburek and borshch are definitely on their menu and much much more!
And to spice things up I have a little task for you. Think about what would be a special thing you do in your country when a person turns 10?
In Ukraine, for example, there’s a weird tradition of pulling up the ears of a birthday child (in our case that would be 10). This is just a peculiar way to wish the birthday child to grow tall (thus pulling up the ears).
Make sure you have a special, maybe even crazy, birthday tradition from your country in mind when you join us on Thursday. During the dinner we’ll write them down anonymously and all together try to guess whether this is a real tradition and which country it comes from.
The one who guesses most of the traditions correctly will get a small surprise - because there have to be presents at every birthday party!
Looking forward to a fun evening with all of you!
