Martin Wiedenhofer will perform some of the Thomaskantor's great masterpieces in his Bach organ concert as part of the Munich Bach Festival, offering a concise overview of his organ works. The program includes the Prelude and Fugue in E-flat major, BWV 552, from the third part of the Clavier-Übung, the unique Passacaglia in C minor, BWV 582, the Trio Sonata No. 2 in C minor, BWV 526, the Concerto in A minor after Antonio Vivaldi, BWV 593, and chorale arrangements.
Martin Wiedenhofer, born in Weiden, studied at the Munich University of Music, initially studying educational music, then church music and majoring in organ. He teaches music at a high school in Freising. Furthermore, since Protected content , he has worked as a répétiteur for the Munich Motettenchor and has accompanied this and other choirs as a harpsichordist, organist, and pianist at numerous concerts both in Germany and abroad (including in Italy, France, Brazil, the USA, Mexico, and China).
