Organ Sound 360° - Works by Bach in Different Acoustic Worlds
Dear Classic Fans,
Something very special!!!
Bach's organ works in one of perhaps Europe's smartest concert hall at the Elektra Tonquartier in Bergson without an organ? This spectacular organ concert combines both: immortal works by Johann Sebastian Bach and the versatile acoustics of the room.
On the occasion of the Bachfest Munich, its artistic director Hansjörg Albrecht takes you into different worlds of sound, e.g. to the magnificent abbey church in Caen in France with its Cavaille-Coll Organ, the Silbermann Organ in Freiberg, Saxony, and the Skinner Organ from the Presyterian Church in Pasadena, USA. Its a new sound experience - not only for those who love the organ and Bach!
The programm includes the works of Bach at the following organs:
* Toccata and Fugue in D minor: Schnitger, Zwolle
* Chaconne in D minor: Cavaillé-Coll, Caen
* Italian Concerto: Gottfried Silbermann, Freiberg
* Air from the 3rd orchestral suite: Skinner, Pasadena
* French Overture: Skinner, Pasadena
* Passacaglia in C minor: Willis, Hereford
