We invite you to take a look behind the scenes at Tierheim Berlin. Get to know their work, find out about animal welfare in Berlin and their protégés. In addition, there are plenty of offers for the whole family: free tours, our popular Pitbull Ballet, vegan-vegetarian street food, expert talks, an agility show, a lovely children's program ... and much more.

I look forward to meeting with interested pet lovers and their families.

There are only very limited parking spaces available. Please use public transport if possible!
There is also a BUS shuttle to the shelter - from S-Bahn station Ahrensfelde and from Rathaus Steglitz (at the roundabout)

The largest animal shelter in Europe created by the animal protection association for Berlin and surrounding corporation e.V. in Hohenschönhausen-Falkenberg is one of the most modern domiciles for distressed animals.

Every year, Tierheim Berlin houses around 12,000 animals. At present 75 zookeepers look after and care for almost 1,600 animals on the approximately 22 football fields.
