Mexican literature I - Aura by Carlos Fuentes
Hello story lovers! I hope you are as excited as I am to begin this cycle of Mexican literature. At this first event, we will pair our chosen book with a visit to one of the most interesting places in Mexico city.
The Protected content is the largest cemetery in Mexico and contains the "Rotonda de las Personas Ilustres" where notable Mexicans are buried such as Diego Rivera and Jose Clemente Orozco. It is located on Constituyentes Avenue between sections two and three of Chapultepec Park.
We have chosen this venue to get in the mood to discuss Aura by Carlos Fuentes. Aura is a short mystery novel that functions as the best introduction to Carlos Fuentes' works.
Aura is widely available in English and Spanish, but my suggestion is that you download the audio-book version (audible.com or scribd.com) as it is read by Carlos Fuentes himself (in Spanish).
Do not hesitate to ring me if you have any questions or comments.
See you soon.
