Let's Celebrate the Afro-Brazilian Black Awareness Day
In Brazil, "Dia da Consciência Negra" is celebrated annually on November 20 as a day “to celebrate a renewed awareness of the black community of its great value and contribution to the country”.
In Frankfurt this special day is celebrated this year on Saturday 23rd November.
The celebration offers many activities, including music, traditional food (feijoada), drinks and dancing.
It'll be an opportunity to meet the new consul of the group, Paul Sarr, who will host this event.
Here's the programme:
6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m Afro-Cuban music with Juan Batista
7:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m “Samba das Meninas” - a samba circle led by women.
Let's join this free party and welcome Paul Sarr!
