"Visit the pilgrimage on Sunday and see for yourself the result of what we do to create a beautiful festival in honour of St. Leonhard year after year. We expect more than 30 floats, six to eight carriages and Protected content 140 horses.
There was already a flourishing pilgrimage to Siegertsbrunn in the 15th and 16th centuries. In Protected content , the first procession around the church took place. The first organised pilgrimage took place on 9 July Protected content . Since then, the pilgrimage has always taken place on the Sunday after St. Kilian's Day (8 July). The Leonhardifest lasts from Friday to Sunday.
On Sunday, the festive service takes place at 9am. After the holy mass, the parade with the blessing of the animals and their companions will take place. They circle the church 3 times on the path that also leads past the Filialkirche St. Peter. (2 times in case of rain).
MVV S-Bahn with S7 -> Höhenkirchern-Siegertsbrunn. Then walk forwards along the road to the left until you reach the church / tent.
