Flavor tripping experience
Hello everyone, on our next event we'll have something really amazing to chew, take my word for it... we are eating miracle fruit and flavor trip!
You may think that the name "miracle fruit" is for sure an invention of the marketing department to promote a product, but the truth is that the Synsepalum Dulcificum, has acquired this nickname thanks to its amazing properties that redefine flavors. The fruit as such, has been popularized not precisely because of its sweet and cranberry-like flavor, but because of the temporary effect that causes on the taste buds.
To truly understand why this berry receives its peculiar name, you need to chew it for a while, and then eat something acid... Miracle fruit has the ability to make sour and acidic foods taste deliciously sweet, completely changing the tasting experience of a large number of dishes and drinks, and if you don't believe me, just google it.
This trendy gastronomic events began in New York a few years ago and they are called "Flavor Tripping'. In these events, a group of foodies are invited to a clandestine meeting where they taste snacks with citrus fruits, wines and goat cheeses among others, after of course, chewing the miracle fruit...
Without any doubt, the best way to experiment with miracle fruits is within a group of diners, and that's because other people is needed as a point of reference to comment on the experience, and what better group than dinnernations?
