A Culinary Trip to the Middle East
After the successful all-local Ticinese street food event of May, we are back on the road! Tonight's culinary trip takes us to Lebanon, the welcoming Middle Eastern Country which is famous for its multicultural society, stunning historical and natural sights, and of course for its good food!
We will get a sumptuous Lebanese menu consisting of Meze, small platters, to be sampled and shared. Examples include Hommos (chickpea mash), stuffed grape leaves, orientally spiced meatballs, cheese rolls, shrimps, and chicken wings. A great choice for both vegetarians and meat-lovers! The menu will conclude with a choice of Lebanese sweets. We will also have a Lebanese dancer perform for us! In case of good weather, we will be seated on the terrace.
Access: The restaurant is in the town center of Paradiso, very easily reached by public transport. From Lugano, you can take bus lines 1 or 2. You can come by train from anywhere in the region: The railway station Lugano-Paradiso, on the Bellinzona-Chiasso line, is just a few steps away. Finally, if you wish to come by car, the nearst parking garages are the communcal Autosilo di Paradiso, and the Autosilo in the Palazzo Mantegazza, both just a few minutes walk from the restaurant. There are also "Zona Blu" parking spots next to the lake (free of charge after 6pm). Finally, if you want to try something different, there is a PubliBike stall on Piazza Boldini (the central square of Paradiso), also next to the restaurant.
Finally, the restaurant asks us for the number of participants two days before the event. We will call them on the evening of Tuesday June 11, and while we will do our best to accomodate everyone, we ask you to please sign up NOT LATER than Tuesday 11th on June, 4pm, in order to have your spot secured! In case you should discover that you cannot attend the event, please cancel no later than that date.
