Charms of the night sky at Lyon Observatory
Let's enjoy the beautiful wonders of the night sky together this Friday in the nice gardens of Protected content .
Protected content will be open to the public for a "Soirée d'Observation" as part of the "Fête de la Science Protected content . The event will start at about 19:00 (before sunset) with some explanations for children and adults. As it gets dark, we will go into the gardens of the observatory where you will be able to enjoy the major celestial bodies through some small (hand operated) and large (with a specific dome) telescopes.
Of course, like astronomers we are at the mercy of nature: if it gets cloudy, we won't be able to use the telescopes. But there are other activities in that case.
Here is the webpage of the program:
The main language is French, but the astronomers there are fluent in English too. This program/exhibition is open to the public, so we will be joining a larger event (it is not privately for InterNations, if there is demand, we might be able to arrange such an event in the future).
Public transport (with the C10 bus to Bellecour) is available until midnight from the "St Genis Centre" bus stop (about 20min walk from the observatory).
Sorry, but you are not allowed to join this Activity Group!
We are afraid that you cannot join, because the Group Consuls have limited access to this Activity Group.
If you would like to explore other InterNations Activities in your Local Community, please have a look at this overview page.
