On Sunday, November 4th the Ensemble Fiacorda will be playing George Gershwin's An American in Paris at the Protected content .

This is, of course, an orchestral work, but it has been arranged for string quartet, double bass, clarinet, bassoon and horn. There will also be music by Mozart, Liszt and Somervell on the program.

This concert series is also particularly attractive to parents with small children: the children listen to a short opening piece up front near the stage, and then they go to a musical workshop in another part of the museum, supervised by Anja Adam of Theater Basel. This way the parents can enjoy the rest of the concert (in peace and quiet!) and don't have to find a baby-sitter.

There is always a jolly apero after the concert for the entire audience, and if you do come, please drop by afterwards and introduce yourself!

Looking forward,
