Kinsale to Charles Fort Trail
A visit to the impressive Charles Fort in Kinsale is one of the most popular things to do in Cork.
A stoneβs throw from the lively town of Kinsale, Charles Fort is among the largest military installations in Ireland, and itβs is steeped in history and well-preserved.
After visiting the Fort, we will have the option of continuing on Charles Fort Walk, walking down to the city and have a warm coffee, or continuing on to Dock Beach, a swimming area... Don't hesitate to bring your swimsuit and goggles! π
Distance:
8-10km for the 1st part (Kinsale-Charles Fort Walk-Kinsale), Protected content if you are ready to extend the walk to Kinsale Beach-James Fort π
Suitability:
Easy. Walking shoes. Rainwear and/or umbrella. Bring your meal/water/fast sugar... and a swimsuit for the most courageous! π
Let's meet (after a good breakfast) at the Bus Stop Protected content City Hall" at 10.30am, we'll arrive in Kinsale around 11.40am and enjoy a nice Sunday walk π
