Tate Britain's Great Art Walks - Stanley Spencer

Gus Casely-Hayford and world-renowned comedian Billy Connolly take a trip to Cookham, Berkshire, home and artistic inspiration of Stanley Spencer, the man described as the "divine fool of British art".
Through their journey, they explore every corner of the village that inspired him, while discovering the fascinating character who showed real intelligence and was so productive as an artist. Spencer painted over Protected content in his lifetime, many of which are in his favorite Cookham, his "village in paradise," as he called it!
We will watch the documentary Protected content that we can discuss afterwards.
