Tate Britain's Great Art Walks - Dora Carrington
The seductive Elena Bonham-Carter takes a trip with Gus Casely-Hayford in the footsteps of a model of Elena's adolescence, Dora Carrington. Their adventure takes them from the beautiful countryside of Sussex to the breathtaking scenery of Lake District. Along the way, they discover a complex and tragic figure in the center of a triangle, between Ralph Partridge, the husband she did not love, and Lytton Strachey, the gay man she adored. Gus and Elena reveal the wonderful art of this private but at the same time incredibly talented artist that a former Tate Director described as "the most unrecognized serious painter of her time".
