Cutting through Datong District is one of Taipei’s historic neighborhoods, Dihua Street (迪化街). Dihua Street offers visitors a glimpse of mid-19thcentury Taipei as well as the city’s thriving artistic side.

The street is known as being the heart of Dadaocheng(大稻埕), and is the oldest surviving neighborhood in Taipei. It it also known for its traditional medicinal tea, sundries, fabric and tailor shops. However, there is still more to explore along Dihua Street with its historic architecture, art galleries and contemporary craft shops.
