CANCELLED: Silent Writing Afternoon
The weather does not look promising this weekend so I'm moving the session indoors - let's meet again at the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek, inside at the main entrance. If you are a few minutes late, you'll find us in the cafeteria down the stairs and all the way to the back.
After an introduction round, we'll do a quick writing prompt exercise Protected content to get us in the mood to write. Then we'll go upstairs to the main reading hall and we'll start writing. You don't need a library card to enter the ready hall but you need to leave your jacket and bag in a locker on the ground floor. We'll try to sit together if possible.
If you are already working on a piece you can use the next two hours for it. Otherwise, you can continue with the text from the writing exercise or start with a new writing prompt (I will bring some examples with me). We wrap up around 6 pm and those of us who still have time can grab a beer at C.A.D.U. next door and chat.
- this is meant as a motivational event for active writers. The goal is to write for the sake of writing and without pressure. Let the stuff flow as it comes, you can always edit later!
- the general discussion will be in English but everyone can write in the language they normally write in.
- please try to stay for the entire session as leaving prematurely might demotivate other members of the group.
Looking forward to meeting you and your writing!
