Art in public space, guided tour to Joseph Beuys & more
Art in public spaces includes not only monuments and fountains, but also hidden art or street art. You can only see a lot of things at second glance or would never have thought of it as art. For example, the mural by Thomas Baumgärtel and Captain Borderline in the Marzellenstraße, which deals with the expulsion of artists from the city or the aliens of Space Invader on the Roncalliplatz. The works of Josef Beuys and his artist friend Wolf Vostell, distributed throughout the city, are just as hidden and almost invisible as contemporary street art.
Venue: Old St. Alban ruin
