Hike Mitake-san, Hinode-yama w/ option of Onsen & Yoshino Baigo
We'll traverse Mitake-san, Hinode-yama, the famous Plum Park Yoshino Baigo & the village of Ome for their Plum Festival if still going on. Aki Sato (our Onsen Director!) will be leading this hike. I will unfortunately not be in Japan for this hike. (Aki is pictured in the photo posted here).
We depart from Protected content
There are good views of the Kanto plain towards central Tokyo, and the Mitake temple area and mountaintop village are quite scenic. Lunch will be at the top of Hinodeyama. The departing train station will be Protected content
This hike will end with three options and the group along with Aki will decide among the options. Yoshino Baigo has Protected content of plum trees - the blossoms may be finished in some cases but hopefully some trees still in their bloom. The village of Ome sometimes has a plum festival and you can visit this. Aki will direct those interested to an Onsen as well.
Please bring the necessary items for making your hike safe and fun. e.g. 2 liters of water, hiking stick, boots, hat and sun screen.
Please let us know if you plan on attending so that we can be looking out for you at the train platform. Aki looks forward to meeting all of you and friends you would like to invite.
