Sixth Classical Music Appreciation Class-Schumann
Marnix says “Schumann was a very romantic composer, and his symphonies are full of joy and energy as well as sadness and hope! Join us for a splendid voyage along the river!”
Robert Alexander Schumann ( Protected content ) was a German composer, pianist, and influential music critic, one of the greatest composers of the Romantic era. A hand injury ended this dream of becoming a pianist. He then focused his musical energies on composing. Until Protected content , Schumann wrote exclusively for the piano. Later, he composed piano and orchestral works, and many Lieder (songs for voice and piano). He composed four symphonies, one opera, and other orchestral, choral, and chamber works.
