Now on its 15th Anniversary, UPAAS looks back through the fleeting yet enduring moments shared through the years by its members, friends, and with all the donors and sponsors who have extended their help and generosity in the various events and projects it has organized.

To celebrate this milestone, the Association, in partnership with The Embassy of the Republic of The Philippines and Prudential Assurance Singapore, proudly presents this one night classical music concert with Celebrity Cello and Piano Duo from New York, and with opening performance from the Singapore based vocal group Sugar and Spize.
This event is organized for the benefit of the UP Alumni Association Scholarship Program.

MAIN PERFORMANCE

John Kneiling, cellist, made his debut at 17, performing the Lalo Concerto with the Staten Island Symphony and received his Master’s Degree at the Manhattan School of Music. He and pianist Mescal Wilson formed the Sofia Ensemble to focus on contemporary works as well as the standard repertoire.
Pianist Mescal Wilson received her Master’s Degree from the Juilliard School and has performed as soloist in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall and Kaufman Concert Hall. Her European solo reciatals have included appearances at the Vienna Musikverein Brahmsaal, the Atelier in Brussels, the Janáček May Festival, chamber and solo concerts at the Indian River Festival in Canada and numerous performances in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Scotland. She performs with John Kneiling in the Sofia Ensemble.

OPENING PERFORMANCE
Sugar and Spize
Sugar & Spize is a Singapore based pop vocal duo. The group consists of two sassy girls, Tamaara & Shannon – an equal mix of naughty & nice. Tamaara is 13 and Shannon is 5. Both girls met at a performing arts school and the “chemistry” between them created this group.
