(if you live in Munich, Nuremberg, Ingolstadt or Regensburg, you can do this as a day trip)

Is any weekend explorer interested in spending August Protected content optionally Protected content Franconia? (i.e. the north-Bavarian region around Nuremberg)

If it were so, let me know: after visiting the Landshut wedding last year, the idea is to have yet another journey into medieval times, this times by returning to Furth im Wald, home to the biggest dragon robot in the world and the Drachenstich, a medieval retelling of the clashes between Holy Roman Empire and Hussites. There will be one representation during the day and one during the evening (see Protected content we would go for the day one, as it comes with a parade.

If you have extra days, besides Furth im Wald, the plan is to also visit the fortified town of Coburg and/or have a hike around Gossweinstein, in the so called Franconian Switzerland.

A rough plan is:
August Protected content to Munich
August Protected content in Furth im Wald (for those staying overnight, sleep in either Furth im Wald or Cham)
August 13/14/ Protected content Coburg / hike in Kelheim / return home
