Since this weekend the weather is expected to be wet, would you fancy walking indoors (mostly), within the fortified walls of Pizzighettone? Located about 45 mins away from Milano, the town features medieval walls and towers, as well as the Adda river. Also, the town is known for its black-eyed bean ("fasulin") festival, which takes place every year at the end of October.

The idea then is to wander around town (perhaps by taking part in one of their guided tours), then have a bowl of fasulin, before heading back home.

Return to Milano will be earlier than the other years, because of the Poznan Orchestra performing at Auditorium LaVerdi (pianist will be none less than Yulianna Avdeeva, winner of the penultimate Chopin competition in Warsaw; if you're interested, there's still plenty of tickets on sale)

Anyway, in 4 hours I think we can still have a thorough exploration of Pizzighettone!
