Exploring Val Di Muggio
Anyone up for a last minute walk in val di Muggio, i.e. the southernmost valley in Switzerland?
Known for its picturesque villages, chestnut groves and green terraces, the Muggio valley can be easily reached from Milano, by catching a 45 min train to Chiasso, followed by a bus to Caneggio or Bruzella.
Plan then is to follow the 3h15 route on Protected content as well as join the celebrations at the Loreto chapel of Bruzella ( Protected content ).
Hike should take around 3,5 hours, with Protected content elevation gain.
** how to get to Chiasso/Bruzella**
REG train Milano Centrale 8: Protected content Chiasso
+
BUS Chiasso 09: Protected content Caneggio/Bruzella bus
Return will be from Bruzella (or Caneggio), likely with the 16:30 bus to Morbio/Chiasso.
