Art Tour @ Karaköy
Please join us for a day full of art in Karaköy. We plan to visit two art galleries and Salt Galata on February 26.
Our meeting point will be Protected content with two current exhibitions. “Coulisse” focuses on the reflections of the concept of “liquid modernity”. “Self Layers” focuses on the individual’s multilayered relationship between their self-identity, their location, and everything around them.
Our second stop will be The Wall Art Gallery in a historical building without two current exhibitions as “On the Wall” and another temporary exhibition that will start on February 25.

Third stop will be Salt Galata, residing in the former headquarters of the Imperial Ottoman Bank ( Protected content ) on Bankalar Caddesi. At Salt Galata, we will visit the exhibition “The Sequential” focusing on the notion of “symbolic power” through the exploration of historiography, language, public sphere, symbolic capital, and modernization.

Last stop will be Schneidertempel Arts Center, which is situated at a 19th century sinegogue. This historical building currently houses a caricature exhibition along with permanent displays on a brief history of the Ashkenazi Community in Turkey.
We will meet at 13.30 p.m at the entrance of The Mixer Art Gallery.
