Someone once wrote about Carlos Cuanda, Carmen Cuello, Manuel Paz and Jesús Prieto: “a virtuoso guitar quartet notorious of its ability to perform works, ranging in style from folk song imitations to avant-garde experiments using extended performance techniques and palying effortless and with panache”.

When, in Protected content , four guitarist friends joined to play, they were far from imagining that the result would inspire a new and extensive repertoire for four guitars. The group has already released more than fifty works by composers such as Miguel del Aguila, Moisés Arnáiz, Imanol Bageneta, Jose Luis Barroso, Javier Blanco, Francisco Cuenca, among many others.

Later, in Protected content , exactly when it was celebrating 25 years of existence, the quartet EntreQuatre received one of the most important recognitions of its history, when seeing named for the Latin Grammys the interpretation of the work "4 Asymmetries" of Orlando Jacinto Garcia.

In May Protected content , the quartet performed at the prestigious Prague Spring 72 International Music Festival, filling the Dvořák room with over a thousand people and garnering tremendous acclaim from the public and critics.

It has appeared in many festivals, including the II São Paulo Guitar Festival (with Egberto Gismonti), the VI Festival of Contemporary Music in Salamanca, the XIII International Festival of Contemporary Music in Alicante, the Music Festival FIU 99 in Miami , the International Festival of Santander, the Spanish-Portuguese Festival Península de Músicas, or the International Festival of Quito.

In addition to Carnegie Hall in New York in Protected content , the quartet EntreQuatre performed in prestigious venues such as the Auditorio Nacional de Madrid, the Lutosławski room in Warsaw, the Cecilia Meireles room in Rio de Janeiro, the National Concert Hall in Dublin, the Auditorium of Brasília, or the Auditorium of the Library Luis Ángel Arango de Bogotá.

So please, come and join together for this extraordinary concert in Museu da Musica, a beautiful little museum, inside Metro Station “Alto dos Moinhos”.

(Note: Concert start at 19:00, please arrive early in order to secure a good seat)
