Life in Wiesbaden at the turn of the century

The disappearance of entire streets (Heine-Straße) to well-known places like the Germaniaplatz will be explored. Where did the children of the neighborhood play, and where did industrial factories exist for a long time? For decades, vacant lots that had nothing to do with the war are discovered, and destroyed green spaces such as the Mauer's garden are discovered.

The development of the street from Protected content is examined, as well as the construction of the façade with its bourgeois facades and adjoining backyards and their servants' entrances.

Seeing the city with different eyes, looking for the signs of a bygone era, you can take the historic tour with us on Saturday, 22nd June from 17:00 to 18:30 clock. This tour will be done by
art historian Kathrin Schwedler.

After the tour we can enjoy food and drinks at the RüdesheimerStraßenFest!
