Sailing week in the Isole Eolie (Sicily)

WHERE DO WE GO? Obviously it is the weather conditions that have the last word, and in the Aeolian Islands, if there is strong wind it is difficult to moor in the harbor, due to a problem of depths. Obviously this happens only in the most north east and west islands. In theory, in a week there is time to visit them all, but as I said, it always depends on the weather and also on the experience of the crew, in fact it is not advisable for those who go on a sailing boat for the first time, since they can to be hours of navigation due to winds or contrary currents.
The event will be held if there are 8 participants. This is because as usual, I try to have costs within everyone's reach. Usually, we never spend more than € Protected content person, with the cost of fuel and the nighting or in the drift or return to the port where nothing is paid. In this case the costs are decidedly better, as the rental of boats for the Aeolian Islands is quite expensive, as are the few ports, air travel, etc. therefore, what you read in the "costs" section includes only a hypothetical cost of renting the boat, not all the rest.
For food, usually, let us each bring something typical of your country of origin, so avoid the cost of the restaurant and have fun, because fun has never failed. To reach the port, we usually make cars with 5 people so we can split the costs of gasoline and motorway, starting from Milan. The price, as always, depends on the cost of the boat. As we have already done, I search the boat, I send you the link of the offer and decide if to take it. As always, my activities do not include the costs to pay the skipper (because the skipper or better commander, who responds to the law civil and criminal I am) and there is no private gain for anyone. The charter of sailboats for weekends, starts at 18:00 on Friday and ends at 6pm on Sunday.
Boat Rental always includes a deposit of about € Protected content advance, but it must be clear to everyone that in case one of us breaks something on the boat, we all respond. If you listen to me, however, nothing happens to you.
For the rental of a weekly boat, embarkation is usually on the morning of Saturday and disembarkation on the morning of the following Saturday.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Previous experience where there have been misunderstandings I have to clarify some things. Although I have a sail curriculum, I will not be your "Skipper". The True Skipper (the real title has 5 people in Italy, only people who can do business and make money, all others can only do sports and not for profit or gain) has contractual obligations for where is the kitchen, you have breakfast, etc. I am the commander of the boat, that is, the civil and criminal responsible of your lives. The commander, for the Italian law, is responsible for your safety. So he (in this case myself) decides if the prescribed path will change because of the time; if we go back to the nearest port if someone is injured or feels sick; if you stay in the harbor when weather conditions could compromise your safety. But it also decides if any behavior or whole crew of a person is not suitable for navigation safety. An example: if I tell a person to put on their boots, because, as is often the case, barefoot is always someone who breaks the toes, he / she has to put them because if he slips and pushes a other than ending in the sea is a serious problem. Also, if he does not put his shoes and hurt, I see him forced to return to the port, with the other crew members who get angry for the cruise to end suddenly.
So, in short, as someone in the past believed, I'm not the slave of anyone, I do not prepare breakfasts and I do not go where a person decides to go when he does not know how long it takes and weather conditions.
Apart from the role of Commander, you should consider me a member of "intenations" with the same rights and with multiple responsibilities of responsibility.
As a crew you can decide whether to drive the sailboat (if the conditions are not difficult) and I can teach whoever wants it, or limit yourself to sunbathing and taking pictures.
INSURANCE: All boats are insured by the shipowner, who wants to cover a private insurance can make a sports membership card of the Italian ones, but just be careful and listen. Besides, who does a private insurance for a plane trip?
