"Memories from The Future" Photo Exhibition & Free Guided Tour
Based on the present and the past, we envision the future!
The 6th edition of Contrast: Thessaloniki Photography Festival deals with the "Future".
The point was to give a dimension to the future, with images of the present, submitting opinions, thoughts, and reflections, about how our world will be.
Through the work of 25 photographers and Protected content , the subject is approached with diversity, something expected and requested. After all, reference to the future is related to our temporal distance from it. The near future can be determined by the present and the past, while the distant future can only be determined by our imagination. Some approaches are pessimistic, some neutral, and some optimistic.
Photographers' portfolios are about our future selves, family, relationships, loneliness, alienation, addiction, power, flattening the personality, refugee, technology, science, building, abandonment, environment, climate change, desertification, air pollution, but also change in other living conditions, harmony with nature, healing the planet and regeneration.
