Cycling Safari at The Lake!
A one-day cycling tour,this time visiting the enchanting Lake Volvi! A unique exploration experience by bike, where we will have the opportunity to tour the wetland and discover its best hidden secrets! While of course we will enjoy another picnic in nature! Join θσ for another cycling Sunday with unique images of the Greek countryside! The excursion will take place by bus till Scholari.You can bring your own bicycle or rent one.
Lake Volvi is the second largest lake in the country! It is a rare ecosystem with reedbeds, wet meadows, hydrophilic plants and many trees. In its southern part we find the lakeside forest of Apollonia, with centuries-old trees and rich flora covering a total area of Protected content .
The fish fauna of Volvi includes 24 species of fish, with the fat fish not found in any other part of the world, while many migratory birds also winter in the area.
Lake Volvi is one of the 11 Greek wetlands of international importance, protected by the Ramsar Convention.
