Fiction Book Club April 2020
It is a truth universally acknowledged that love comes in mysterious ways. And sometimes, the initial complete dislike combined with a set of favourable circumstances, will change one’s first impression and without even knowing, one is terminally in love.
Next month we will look into the joy/the sorrow love brings, using wit and humour as Jane Austen did in Pride and Prejudice. Considered a romantic novel of manners, education, marriage and money as such were perceived by British society of 18th century, this is the most famous of all of her novels.
Even if you never had the pleasure of making acquaintance with Miss Bennet, Mr Darcy and all their colourful relatives and friends, or you would like to visit them again, this is a novel that is worth reading at least once in a lifetime.
Due to the unavailability of public meeting places, the April Protected content Book Club will meet online, using "ZOOM Cloud Meetings" App, which is available for free download.
The meeting invite will be sent on "The Reader's Society" WhatsApp group. Anyone interested can join the group by following the link below.
