Science Fiction Hub August 2020
Science Fiction is not only a genre but also a state of mind, which constantly pokes us with ‘what if’ scenarios, with every SF book we devour. If you imagined yourself travelling to the centre of the Earth or to the Moon with Jules Verne, or you became entangled in Isaac Asimov’s Foundation Saga - to mention only two of my favourite writers - than you might enjoy this gathering :)
Ever since the first ‘Beam me up Scotty’ has been bravely bolted out by Captain Kirk, each and every one of SF lovers is imagining what would be like to explore new worlds, to travel into different time/space dimensions, to ‘boldly go where no one has gone before’.
The SF Hub is meant to host discussions on SF books that changed our perspectives and continue to challenge our minds to expand our understanding of life around us.
In our first meeting we will look into the life on Artemis, the first and only city on the Moon, imagined by Andy Weir following the debut novel, The Martian, for which he won the Astounding Award for Best New Writer at Protected content Awards.
Live Long and Prosper :)
