Come join in the celebration for the Festival of Lights with a variety of cultural events vibrant and with enriching experience.
Deepavali is celebrated on the Hindu month of Kartik in October / November. It is also called the Festivals of Lights.
It's a day of festive joy. The word "Deepavali" is a combination of the words ‘Dipa’ and ‘Gavali’, the former meaning ‘light’ and the latter meaning ‘a row’. Thus symbolizing the rows of lights that can be seen at the houses of Hindu celebrants. As light dispels, this festival symbolizes the victory of good over evil.
The glow of lights, whether “vilakku” (oil lamps fashioned out of clay) or colourful electric bulbs, is significant as it brightens up the abode of both rich and poor, signalling the coming festivities.
There will also be a Deepavali Bazaar from 10.00 am Protected content pm as well as interesting workshops showcasing unique and creative Deepavali products including art & crafts, exclusive apparels, food and home décors.
It's the best time to-get-together so come clad in your colorful and beautiful traditional Indian outfits from saree, to lengha to salwar kameez and churidhar as well as kurtha to be in the mood and usher in the festivity!
